Opened up shop!

I recently opened my own esty. I make bows. I hope to add cards soon! Come like the facebook page also! :)

baby boy

We found out that we're expecting a baby boy at the beginning of April. It is very exciting. :) 

I was saving these tags from clothes for awhile and I thought some of the colors went well with the monster paper I wanted to use.

breathe

I picked out my picture, paper, ink, stamps, tape, and ribbon ( I've been wanting to use this forever) before I got started. I wasn't too sure about which letter stickers I would want to use yet.  

 First I cut the ribbon to the size I wanted, then the paper. I glued those on along with the picture. Put the tape in place.
When I started this page I picked out white ink. I thought it would show better than it did (which was barely), so I picked out the pink ink instead.

 You can tell these pictures were taken during different parts of the day, since the lighting is do different. haha
Anyway, added more ribbon, tape, and stamps. :)

After that I wrote down the poem I wanted to use, added the title, her name, and I drew a border. (shown in bottom picture).

Its a really simple layout that I love. By the way, the last photo is the best photo for the colors.

magic kingdom

This is the first 12x12 page in my DW album for the Magic Kingdom. Kaylee loved being on the ferry ride and seeing Cinderella's castle as we arrived the park. Kaylee had an appointment for a princess makeover, so right after we got off we headed straight to the castle for it. 

Shimelle posted a lot of challenges over the weekend, so its helping me create more layouts for this album. This one was inspired by the 'something bold' challenge. The green paper is a bit brighter in person.  

I also made this layout the other day that could go under this challenge, but that would be cheating. :p I'm going to share it anyway though...Kaylee is with a few characters at the Animal Kingdom park. The layout names everyone she met there.

on a safari

I finally made a few pages for my Disney World album. Some of them are just multi photo page protectors with little detail, so I decided not to share them. This layout was inspired by Shimelle's sketch.
When we went on the safari in the Animal Kingdom it was a drizzly day and that brought all the animals out, so it was perfect!

roll over & first pony ride

I was lucky enough to get some pictures of Emilee rolling over from her stomach to her back for the first time. A very simple layout, so it doesn't distract from the pictures.

Kaylee's first time riding on a pony. This is something she had always wanted to do. She loved it it so much, she went again and again. 

I just now realized what this layout is missing! A title. haha. I think I'm actually going to leave it off though.

fresh blooms

I love the rose blooms paper in the new dear lizzy neapolitan collection. I knew I would want to use it more than once, so I did just that. Back in October I took these pictures of Kaylee in front of some wrapping paper hung on her wall in her bedroom. They were her "I'm 5!" pictures. I have about twenty to scrap or just put in the album. I love the way this photo looks with the colors of the flowers. I used a Dr. Seuss quote on the layout. 

Using a old scenic route paper for the background I combined it with the rose blooms paper and the card stock I water colored (on all three layouts also). The water color paper is photographed well (just a light green and yellow). This photo was taken on a date night with Kaylee. The silly girl wouldn't do any other pose for a picture. <3

I very rarely use a plain white background for layouts and I actually love this one. It's very similar to the one above, but who cares? Haha. 

4 months

For a few months I was able to keep up with Emilee's monthly pages...now I am 4 months behind! I gotta catch up. Ha ha. 

Some of the things she was doing at 4 months was eating oatmeal. Laughed the most with Kaylee. She still laughs at her all the time. Started to hold her bottle. Discovered how to scream. 

baby shower

For the longest time I have been wanting to scrap these photos and invitation to my baby shower from last year. I never could figure out how I wanted everything to go and what papers to use though. I decided to use a brad to hold the pictures and invite together, so that they swivel when you want to look at them. Each photo has a tab that matches the paper. The invite is glued to the layout. 

I'm loving the Stella and Rose collection lately. Thanks to twopeas. I won a lot of it in one of their giveaways. 

now you are 5

The new dear lizzy ruffle paper inspired the bottom half of this layout. I saw the CHA release and had to make something similar. I didn't want to wait for the paper to be in stores.
Kaylee and I did a little photo shoot when she turned five. I love these pictures.

my favorite game

Kaylee's favorite game for the past year has been Candy Land. I took these photos back in September and finally scrapped them. I rarely use orange. It was a nice change.

such a model

This layout was inspired by ANFSCD. I didn't have the products she used, but I used other things I had sitting in my room waiting to be used. It was the perfect project for the pictures since I didn't know how I would have put them together on a page. I have been wanting to use glitter splatters and confetti on a page and this project included that. It's something I will use again in the future. 

 

nails

Using some of the paper that were left over from my last layout I created this one. I love these colors together.

Kaylee loves to paint her nails. She has gotten very good at it and rarely messes up.

3 months

I haven't had time to scrapbook lately, so when I saw this starting point it inspired me to finally scrapbook again. I used a very old patterned paper from crate paper for the background. A older making memories patterned paper for the biggest block of paper. The other papers are scraps from different pages I've done in the past. I love the colors, so I'll probably be using the rest of the paper up soon.

christmas journal {part 1}

I finally had a little bit of time to start on my journal for the JYC class. I decided to use american craft paper (from last year) and my mind's eye. They work well together. I need to print out pictures so I can do some more pages. I'm keeping it very simple, so that I can get pages done faster.

christmas past

I'm not sure why, but I never scrapped the pictures from last Christmas. I've only made one layout so far. Its very simple, but I like it. :)

christmas cards

This year I didn't have time to make cards like I have the past two years. I went to the store and bought two different packs of 32 cards. As I was addressing them I kinda wished I planned ahead more, so that I could have made cards. Oh well, maybe next year. :)
I sent one to my oldest daughter and plan on putting that one in my Christmas journal. She loves to get mail.

winter is here

Lately it has been raining and cold here. Only getting up to 48 degrees. Some might laugh, but for Texas that is cold! hah I do prefer this over snow even though I sometimes wish snow would magically appear on Christmas and then disappear afterwards. After living in a place that had snow it was fun to open gifts, eat a Christmas dinner, and play in the snow. Kaylee really misses it.

Happy Thanksgiving. 

I am thankful for my two daughters and my wonderful boyfriend who would do anything for us. <3
